This memo contains some suggestions on overall themes and some additional tools the immigrant rights movement has developed.
When Congress debated comprehensive immigration reform, The Opportunity Agenda saw a need for unified messaging that promoted reform which would expand opportunity for everyone in our country. Effective messages included the concepts of a pathway to citizenship and human rights for newcomers, as well as greater economic security and mobility for native born workers and citizens.
