
Prior to joining The Opportunity Agenda, Annie was a partner within the immigration practice group of Wormser, Kiely, Galef & Jacobs LLP, where she focused on analyzing and advising on business immigration issues and assisting clients with developing strategies for immigration compliance. She co-chairs the Alumni Task Force of the American Immigration Council, where she served as a trustee and a member of its Community Education Center Committee.
Annie is an active member of the immigration bar, having served on the Board of Governors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where she chaired liaison committees on both the national and local levels; chaired the Immigration and Nationality Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association; and served as co-chair of the New York Women’s Bar Association’s Immigration Law Committee. For almost 20 years, Annie has been an advisor on immigration issues to the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations, where she currently serves on its executive committee.
Annie obtained a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a notes editor of the Journal of Chinese Law and co-chaired the Asian American Law Students Association. She also has an M.A. in Chinese Studies from Yale University and a B.A. in Asian Studies from Northwestern University.
