Daria Tavana, Development Associate

Daria Tavana is a writer and nonprofit professional with a strong background in communications and event production. As the Development Associate with The Opportunity Agenda, she utilizes her event planning skills by coordinating development-related events. Daria works with the Development Team to identify fundraising opportunities and support greater development outreach including managing the organization's major gift program.

She is the Co-Founder of True False Theatre (TFT), a nonprofit company committed to developing theatre by women who challenge social constructs. After four years of serving as Artistic Director of TFT and spearheading numerous fundraising campaigns, Daria began successfully consulting and collaborating with nonprofit organizations (most recently The Dominican Women's Development Center and Historic Districts Council) on fresh social media strategies, crowdfunding campaigns, donor stewardship initiatives, website rebranding, program development, and database management.

Daria received her BA in 2011 from Fordham University, where she majored in both Playwriting and Theatrical Producing. She is an Iranian-American from South Jersey who currently lives in Washington Heights, Manhattan.
