Jorge GutierrezJorge Gutierrez is an UndocuQueer activist and organizer born in Nayarit, Mexico, and raised in Southern California. He graduated California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. He began his journey as an undocumented immigrant youth activists with the Orange County Dream Team five years ago and soon realized that he could not be public about his undocumented identity without speaking about his queer identity. Jorge served as the national project coordinator for the Queer Undocumented Immigrant Project (QUIP), a project of United We Dream. QUIP is a national project that focuses on leadership development, organizing and mobilizing LGBTQ immigrant youth, including UndocuQueers, to advocate for the rights of LGBTQ and immigrant communities.
