Stevie Paz

Stevie Paz was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, about 100 miles away from the border. She graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. Her role as a Digital Organizer came about naturally when she realized that the important aspects of community organizing, building community and relationships are cultivating and sharing stories. She has been a New Mexico Comunidades en Accion y de Fe now for 6 years. Stevie believes that social and digital media has the power to affect people, and so does sharing our stories and experiences. She naturally picked up writing on a personal basis, and realized that she could start to do that through her work. Communications is new for Stevie, but she is glad it found her because she can utilize it to do good for her community and others through sharing the power of story and storytelling to shift and change narratives.
