Laura A. Vazquez
Laura Vazquez monitors immigration policy and conducts legislative and administrative advocacy in order to advance humane reforms to the current immigration system. She served as a caseworker for Congresswoman Norton, assisting D.C. residents with their immigration applications. As a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Fellow, she researched laws passed in 1996 that impacted immigrants. Her background includes research on Mexican migration to the United States and the role of nonprofits in advocating for Latino immigrants. Laura holds an M.A. in Latin American Studies from U.C. San Diego and a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Kenyon College.
