Brian EricksonBrian Erickson joined the ACLU of New Mexico Regional Center for Border Rights (RCBR) in August of 2010 as a Border Servant Corps volunteer to support and eventually lead RCBR community organizing and abuse documentation initiatives. In his current role of Border Policy Strategist, Brian coordinates policy advocacy, communications, and organizing strategies of the RCBR to ensure families live freely, safely and with dignity in border communities. Brian began his career with the Latin America Working Group in Washington, D.C., where he helped coordinate efforts among organizations located both inside and outside of ‘the beltway’ to push reforms in U.S. foreign and domestic policies impacting Mexico and U.S.-Mexico border communities. Brian holds dual B.A. degrees in Spanish and Global Studies, with a concentration in Development and Social Justice, from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.
